Gazelle Classic Commuter

Last week, the first Gazelle bicycles were delivered to final customers in Portugal. Really interesting in that context was the fact, that these clients found on their own the type of bicycle and the size of frame etc. through Internet search and decided after a few mails what to buy. All of them had chosen commuter bikes and all of them knew Gazelle from their work abroad and they have already been searching during a a long time where to buy these bikes in Portugal.

OK, me as an importer should make this happy (and it does) but remarkable is another fact: The final customer makes up his mind! There is so far no bike dealer in Portugal, who really wants  to take the risc  and invest in Urban Mobility. They are all testing a little bit and try another little bit, but none of them so far has decided: “Yes, we go for a totally new range of bicycles AND we promote them as same as we promote MTB´s”

Still the market is full of low-end, mid-range and high-end MTB- toys and the corresponding accessories. But with the above described change of mentality – initiated by customers – we got the feedback that we are looking for and we go ahead with our idea of promoting every day´s cycling in a car and MTB crazy country…
